A GPS receiver that reports position, altitude, speed, and time — the module handles antenna processing and NMEA parsing internally, so the host just asks for what it needs with simple text commands over any supported interface.
Common uses: vehicle and robot tracking, geocaching projects, time synchronization without a network, classroom geography projects, and weather-station altitude reference.
First fix takes longer with a clear sky view; obstructions like buildings reduce accuracy.
